Insite have partnered with a top 30 firm who are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Business Partner to join an internal HR team on a maternity cover contract. This role offers the chance to be part of a highly professional and supportive HR function, driving key HR processes across the organisation.
The HR team plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm across the entire employee life-cycle, including talent acquisition, on-boarding, development, retention, and off-boarding. In this role, you will work closely with a variety of teams to provide generalist HR support, manage complex Employee Relations (ER) cases, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR team.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Business Partner:
- Provide expert HR advice to senior leaders, managers, and employees, ensuring compliance with internal policies, best practices, and employment legislation.
- Lead on ER cases, including conducting investigations and meetings for complex cases, while advising managers on how to handle low-risk ER issues.
- Regularly update and maintain the Staff Handbook to ensure it remains aligned with current employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Supervise and manage the HR team, ensuring accurate working practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the on boarding process for new team members and subcontractors, ensuring all pre-screening checks are completed thoroughly.
- Support the HR team with payroll processing and ensure all HR-related documents are uploaded to the firm's Intranet.
- Provide regular updates to senior HR leadership on key HR matters.
Key Skills for the HR Business Partner:
- Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a similar generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience in supervising or managing a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
