Are you a HR Generalist??

Job Purpose: The HR Officer will provide high-quality HR operational services across various human resources activities. They will support the HR Business Partner and HR Advisors in developing and delivering new interventions aligned with the company's People Strategy.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Acts as the first point of contact for managers and staff, responding to HR queries and requests.
  • Assists in HR systems implementation and related processes.
  • Coordinates recruitment campaigns from advert to onboarding, ensuring diversity and inclusion.
  • Reviews and actions changes to terms and conditions of employment and monthly payroll updates.
  • Manages the vetting process for new starters and renewals for current staff.
  • Coordinates learning and development activities, including liaising with providers and administering events.
  • Runs workforce reports to enable effective analysis and supports HR team interventions.
  • Provides first-line advice on HR policy application, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
  • Maintains and supports HR manual systems and business administration activities.
  • Supports HR projects in accordance with the People Strategy programme.
  • General Responsibilities:

  • Manages staff and resources in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Promotes equality of opportunities and the diverse needs of the communities.
  • Ensures health and safety compliance in the workplace.
  • Adheres to data protection and Freedom of Information policies.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary, cross-department, and cross-organisational groups and project teams.

Person Specification:

  • Has experience in a similar HR role with responsibility for a wide range of operational HR activities.
  • Is aware of policies and procedures including absence management, performance capability, diversity and inclusion, recruitment, and retention.
  • Is proficient in using information technology for producing letters, reports, presentations, and management information.

  • Accountable to: HR Advisors
  • Principal contacts: Managers and staff, HR shared service partners, and wider HR services
