Human Resources Officer - Information about the role

Tempest Resourcing are keen to appoint a qualified and experienced HR Officer who will provide support to the Senior Leadership Team and HR Partner in providing an effective and efficient HR service to one of our schools. The function of the role will encompass training in, and aiding, across the entire spectrum of school HR reporting and management.

The right candidate will be CIPD qualified or working towards, with proven experience within an HR function, managing casework effectively, ideally within an Education setting (preferably a Secondary Academy) will also receive favourable consideration.

It is essential that the person is experienced in managing a full range of HR activities including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, recruitment, staff well-being, maternity/paternity/adoption, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, restructuring, safeguarding (including overseeing the Single Central Register) and internal communications. Some knowledge of payroll and pensions administration will be required.

Candidate must be a highly motivated individual, proficient in MS Office packages and is able to demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills. This includes the ability to interpret complex data and report and take action on it.
