The firm

Our client is a prestigious American multinational law firm headquartered in New York City with offices across major financial and political hubs worldwide, including London and Hong Kong. They offer unparalleled legal expertise and industry knowledge.

The role

In your new role as a HR Specialist, you will be focusing on lateral and trainee solicitor recruitment including onboarding and pre-employment engagement. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the recruitment and hiring of vacation scheme students and trainee solicitors.
  • Coordinating all recruitment for Business services roles including managing the relationship with preferred recruitment agencies, conducting interviews, and offer management.
  • Assisting the European DOA manage the process of recruiting lateral lawyers to the London office.
  • Preparing offer letters, documentation and induction pack for all new joiners.
  • Managing all aspects of the trainee solicitor programme.
  • Coordinating the US summer associate programme.

What do you need?

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience working in an international law firm.
  • Extensive experience working in an HR role focused on recruitment, including early careers recruitment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and to provide a hands-on, can-do service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
