An exciting opportunity at a leader in the fire suppression industry has hit the market; our client is hiring for a Sprinkler Design Engineer based in anywhere in the UK.

Main responsibilities of the Sprinkler Design Engineer:

  • Review and Certify fire sprinkler and suppression system designs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant certification schemes and UK/International standards
  • Conduct on-site inspections of active fire protection systems
  • Ensure active fire protection systems are up to approved design standards
  • Identify risks or any non-compliances and documents any findings

Requirements of the Sprinkler Design Engineer:

  • Expertise in design and assessing fire sprinkler and suppression systems
  • Experienced in BS EN 12845, 16925, 9251, 4548 and/or 8459 standards
  • Good foundation in the understanding of fire dynamic and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in hydraulic calculation and design software packages
  • Experienced in ACTIVE fire protection
  • Certifications or training from BAFSA, RSA, BAFE, or FPA
  • Member of a relevant organisation such as Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
  • Strong written and verbal skills to ensure communication is clear and concise
  • Experienced working in the commercial and industrial industries
