Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions, including enterprise data warehouses, ETL processes, and reporting systems that scale with the company's growth
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams to understand complex business requirements and translate them into efficient technical specifications
  • Create and optimize sophisticated SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, ensuring optimal performance for large-scale data sets
  • Develop interactive, visually compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, tailoring them to specific user needs and roles
  • Implement comprehensive data quality checks and ensure data integrity across all BI systems and processes
  • Optimize multidimensional data models and query performance to handle increasing data volumes and complexity
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing data governance policies, data cataloging, and best practices for data management
  • Stay abreast of the latest BI trends, technologies, and methodologies, proactively recommending and implementing improvements to existing systems
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in BI development or a similar role, with a track record of successful project deliveries
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Expert-level skills in BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Proven experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Talend)
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schema design
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their BI-related services
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of data security and privacy principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
