We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SharePoint Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of a robust Document Management System (DMS). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business process expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, including end-users, managers, and IT teams, to gather and document detailed business requirements for the SharePoint/Document Management System.
- Business Process Re-engineering: Utilise your expertise to re-engineer complex business processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological capabilities.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management by preparing user documentation, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support to ensure smooth adoption of the DMS.
- Data Management: Oversee the proper categorization, file structure, metadata tagging, and indexing of documents within the DMS to enable efficient retrieval and search capabilities.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and system design documents.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess SharePoint/DMS for data accuracy, system performance, and user satisfaction. Implement improvements and enhancements as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks to project managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Product Support: Offer support to users of various business applications, including Microsoft 365, Housing Management Systems, Asset Management Systems, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and troubleshoot issues, tasks, and other requests for support and determine appropriate actions to take.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven history of re-engineering complex business processes in a business analyst role.
- Clear understanding of SharePoint and Document Management Systems.
- Experience in the full software development life cycle.
- Strong analytical skills and business process expertise.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to manage expectations and deliver business change.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Housing Management Systems, Asset Management Systems, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Ability to deliver transformational changes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
