IT Business Analyst – Fixed Income

Overview:Venn Group are representing and recruiting for a prestigious banking institution in London is seeking a highly experienced IT Business Analyst with in-depth knowledge of Fixed Income products to join their Technology team on a long-term contract basis.

This is a key role for a senior professional who can bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions—delivering robust and scalable systems architecture, functional and technical designs, and process optimisation within a regulated financial services environment. Prerequisite experience with ION Anvil, or equivalent Trade Capture Systems, will be extremely advantageous in this position, as the role-holder will bridge the gap between multiple departments, including Front, Middle, and Back Office, analysing trade flows. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define and document functional, technical, process, and data requirements.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and delivery of end-to-end IT solutions, integrating legacy, tactical, and strategic components.
  • Develop data models, mappings, and transformation rules to support risk and finance initiatives.
  • Support the architecture of complex systems across on-premises, cloud (Azure), and hybrid environments.
  • Contribute to the implementation of modern technologies and tools such as Databricks, Power Apps, and Python within the bank's ecosystem.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with ECB Risk & Finance Data Model.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Senior IT Business Analyst within a banking or financial services organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products and associated financial instruments.
  • Deep understanding of risk and finance processes in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with the following technologies is highly desirable:
    • Azure (On-Cloud, Hybrid)
    • Databricks
    • SQL Server, Oracle
    • XML, Python
    • Power Apps
    • BAIS
    • BPMN, Digital Workflow, Process Orchestration
  • Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
