The role is to support the development and implementation of AI-powered tools that assist the research team in financial analysis, market intelligence and investment strategies.

Key duties and responsibilities for this AI Programmer position include:

  • Develop AI tools - build and improve AI-based tools to assist in investment research and decision-making
  • Work with Large Language Models - apply LLMs for tasks such as industry and company-specific qualitative analysis or newsflow pipeline automation
  • Data processing & analysis - work with large datasets and extract useful patterns for investment analysis
  • Programming & automation - implement models using Python and C#, optimizing for efficiency and scalability
  • Collaboration - work closely with the research team to identify AI applications that can enhance investment analysis
  • Ad-hoc project work as and when needed by senior management

Experience & Qualifications

  • Programming skills - proficiency in Python and C is a MUST
  • AI & ML knowledge - an understanding of machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs) is advantageous
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) - experience with text processing, LLM fine-tuning, and embedding models
  • Data handling - ability to work with financial datasets, extract insights, and pre process data for AI models
  • Problem-solving skills - ability to think critically and solve real-world AI challenges in the financial sector

The business

An international investment management firm with a varied focus on investment lines across the world. The business has grown considerably over the last few years and has recently launched another new fund for its investors.

With an international footprint across multiple countries, you will be joining a diverse organisation that invests globally and is looking at opportunities and expansion all the time.

You will be reporting directly to the COO and Senior Analyst, where you will work closely with the investment team to design, build and test AI tools tailored for research applications.

This is an office-based role in London that requires you to be with the team full-time.

Daily Rate

This exciting opportunity for an AI Programmer will pay between £225-£300 per day, depending on your experience and background.

We are looking for someone to join the team as soon as possible and have earmarked a minimum 6-month assignment length.

This is a new position so we are looking at part-time options to begin with, to see if proves a valuable hire.
