SAP Finance Systems Accountant (SAC, S/4 Hana, PaPM)

London hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 from home

12-month FTC

Our client, a leading business in its sector, is looking for the support of a SAP Finance Systems Accountant who holds a blend of the technical and financial/functional experience and will play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of SAP finance modules, including SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), S/4 HANA, and PAPM. This individual will sit within the finance reporting and analytics team and will collaborate closely with both the implementation partners and internal teams and act as a conduit between finance and tech teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow the build team to gain a comprehensive understanding of SAC, S/4 HANA, and PAPM configurations.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts across all implemented SAP finance modules.
  • Offer technical guidance to the implementation team, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Construct and conduct training sessions for the wider finance team including those in reporting and analytics.
  • Facilitate the phase out of old systems.
  • Build SAC reports, oversee data models and keep the SAC calendar updated.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with both technical and non-technical/finance colleagues is key
  • Proven experience in creating SAC reports and analysing data
  • Practical knowledge of SAP PAPM
  • Prior involvement in ERP implementation projects, particularly with SAP.
  • In depth understanding of finance and accounting processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to explain technical matters to non-specialists
  • Self-driven, with the ability to navigate uncertain and complex situations effectively

Candidate should be available at short notice and available to go into the office 3 days p/week
