This is a newly created, stand-out position for a proactive technical business analyst wanting to showcase his/her skills and ambition.

You’ll be working for a global company at the forefront of maritime, aviation, government and enterprise satellite communications. More specifically, you’ll be involved in developing an innovative beyond-line-of-sight communication solution disseminating mission system data from airborne platforms to key end-users in real-time for the International Government market sector.

The successful delivery of this initiative is underpinned by the development of a digital platform for operating, monitoring and controlling the associated product suite. This is where you come in!

Working with a Senior Innovation Manager, you will liaise with business stakeholders, product managers, solution architects and software development teams to elicit, analyse, and document the technical and business elements required to develop the platform.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting definition of the digital platform’s primary purposes, including gathering and documenting the platform’s (and other systems and applications') technical requirements
  • Performing system analyses of existing services, software programs and applications
  • Evaluating ways of implementing the platform and other software products into business operations
  • Assessing and improving front-facing portals and support services
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and end-users to determine system and/or process efficiencies
  • Gathering requirements and acceptance criteria from management and end-users (all stakeholders)

Character and technical curiosity are essential! You will be a resilient, self-starter and intelligent, articulate communicator eager to build a strong stakeholder network within the company. You’ll be comfortable to interrogate the "why" not just the "how". A good sense of humour and initiative will also help!

Essential

  • Extensive experience in technical business analysis in a related industry.
  • Understanding of network management systems and/or SD-WAN technology would be a huge plus.
  • Expertise in eliciting and documenting business and technical requirements within a product/software development lifecycle environment, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of system design principles, allowing for the creation of robust and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with the ability to gain consensus and buy-in from senior managers with competing requirements and priorities.
  • Flexible and adaptive, willing to respond to changing priorities or requirements in an agile manner.
  • A true passion for business analysis and its worth.
