Overview
- An industry-leading financial institution is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join the Data Acquisition team in a wider Markets Program Execution & Transformation team.
- As a Technical Business Analyst in this dynamic group, you will collaborate with various business units and functions to implement regulatory and cross-business transformational projects.

Details
- Day rate: ~£600-£650/day - Inside IR35
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: end date 30/09/2025 (highly likely to be extended)
- Hybrid working - 3 days/week in the office
Key responsibilities of a Technical Business Analyst:
- Develop PySpark and SQL queries for data analysis and reconciliation
- Provide recommendations to enhance reporting processes
- Contribute to Hadoop environment architecture and design discussions
- Translate requirements into design and code
- Provide technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects
- Develop project artifacts (BRDs, FRDs, test planning documents)
- Manage individual project responsibilities and timelines
Required Skills and Experience for a Technical Business Analyst:
- 5+ years of Technical Business Analysis experience
- Expertise in SQL, Python, and Spark
- Familiarity with Hadoop / Big Data domain
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter with independent work capabilities
Preferred Skills:
- Investment banking or financial services experience
- Exposure to Hive, Impala, and Spark ecosystem technologies
- Experience with Big Data pipelines and architectures
