Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Trade Data Repository Business Analyst to join the existing team on a brand-new project.

This role is based in London.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 day a week on site.

What You'll Do

  • Join our client a leading global investment bank, where they drive financial innovation through cutting-edge technology, insightful data analytics, and a commitment to excellence. Our Trade Data Repository (TDR) team is at the core of managing, analysing, and optimising the vast data flows that support our trading and regulatory compliance operations.
  • As a Business Analyst within our TDR team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our trade data management functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of information critical to our trading and regulatory activities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, compliance, and IT, to analyse requirements, optimise workflows, and deliver insights that shape strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Management: Analyse and manage trade data across various asset classes, ensuring high-quality data input, processing, and reporting.
  • Requirement Gathering: Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for new and existing data solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies within current TDR processes and recommend process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure that TDR processes align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams, translating complex data requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into trade data repository performance and compliance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 3+ years as a Business Analyst, ideally within trade data, financial services, or investment banking.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools and strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with data repository platforms or data management systems is an advantage.Knowledge of Financial Products: Strong understanding of asset classes such as equities, derivatives, fixed income, and FX.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with trade reporting regulations (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank) is preferred.
  • Experience working with MoSCoW
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus
