DevOps Engineer | Defence Consultancy | London or Cheltenham | 40,000 - 80,000 + Benefits | High Level Security Clearance Required

MERITUS are working with a large Defence Consultancy looking to grow their engineering team due to a number of new project wins. They're looking for experienced Infrastructure professionals to join their DevOps team.

The successful candidates will join an experienced team working to design, build & maintain critical infrastructure & applications for UK Defence & National Security customers. To be successful you will need in depth experience in Windows & Linux server management, both on-prem & VMware solutions (cloud exposure would be highly beneficial), experience automating infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Terraform or Puppet & scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar languages.

They have multiple roles available at both their London & Cheltenham sites & they require candidates to hold enhanced security clearance (either MOD or Central Government).

This is what you will be doing:

  • Designing, building & managing secure platforms in both Windows & Linux environments.
  • Automating infrastructure to improve efficiency.
  • Building CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git or similar).
  • Deploy and maintain monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Working closely with customer teams to ensure projects are on-schedule & to agreed specification.

Required Skills:

  • Windows & Linux Systems Administration.
  • Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet (or similar).
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python (or similar).
  • CI / CD tools: Jenkins, Git (or similar).

Salary & Benefits:

  • Mid level: Up to 60,000
  • Senior: Up to 80,000
  • Clearance bonus of 5,000
  • Annual performance bonus up to 10%
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
