Robert Half Technology are assisting a prestigious global market leading legal organisation to recruit a Power BI Consultant on a 6-12 month initial contract

Role

  • Data Modelling & Visualisation: The Power BI Consultant will design and develop interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, presenting complex data in a user-friendly, visually appealing manner.
  • Consulting & Strategy: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand their reporting needs, offering expert advice on data solutions and Power BI best practices.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, including internal databases, cloud platforms, and external systems, to create unified and comprehensive reports.
  • Performance Optimisation: Identify areas of improvement within existing Power BI reports, optimising for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Training & Support: Provide training to end-users, empowering them to use Power BI tools effectively and supporting them with any technical challenges.
  • Advanced Analytics: Utilise DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language to create advanced analytics, calculations, and transformations in Power BI.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across reports, adhering to legal industry standards and the organisation's data governance policies.
  • Collaboration: Partner with IT teams, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure data flows are seamless and align with overall business intelligence strategies.

Profile

  • The Power BI Consultant will ideally have experience working in the legal sector
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, M language, and data modelling concepts.
  • Experience with Legal Data: Familiarity with data structures, analytics, and KPIs common within legal organisations is an advantage.
  • Data Integration Skills: Hands-on experience integrating data from various systems such as SQL, Azure, SharePoint, and other cloud platforms.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, understanding business needs, and delivering high-impact solutions.
