A fast-growing Insurance company is looking to hire an IT Manager to head up a small London-based team. You will oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, security and applications development to ensure that you meet the needs of the business working closely with the international business, their outsourced IT developer together with other stakeholders within the wider Insurance group. You will ensure that the IT environment supports the insurance being written by providing a robust framework that is scalable to support future business growth. The role requires a person with a broad mix of skills and experience including IT infrastructure, applications and systems development. You will be responsible for business analysis, testing and IT support.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have proven experience in IT management within small teams
  • Ideally have 10 years' experience in IT ideally with broad experience across all three key responsibility areas
  • Have strong understanding of cybersecurity, including penetration testing and data loss prevention
  • Ability to deal competently with pressure and prioritise workloads;
  • Competence in process mapping MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Able to use initiative and work proactively
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage others and prioritise workloads
