**Technical Delivery Manager** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Overview

As a Technical Delivery Manager/Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects, working closely with various business departments. This hands-on position covers the entire project lifecycle, from capturing requirements to providing post-delivery support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Support teams in understanding project goals and outcomes, maintaining clear documentation and tracking milestones.
  • Track budgets and manage project costs, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating development tasks, with a focus on quality control during SIT and UAT phases.
  • Operate within a lean governance framework, applying appropriate delivery methodologies according to project complexity.
  • Create detailed reports and chair steering committee meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure all projects comply with UK regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Identify potential risks and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance project processes for improved efficiency.

Skills & Experience:

  • Significant project management experience in regulated financial services, particularly within large UK banks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory change projects is essential.
  • Agile, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Teams, JIRA, and Visio.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mediate conflicts effectively.
