Avanti have partnered on an exclusive basis with a well-funded London-based company that has developed breakthrough technology to tackle climate change. Having achieved product-market fit with their innovative hardware/software solution, they're now preparing for market expansion. Working alongside the CTO and reporting to the CEO, we're looking for a VP of Engineering to take the product into manufacturing and help scale the business.

The Role

As VP of Engineering, reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and aligning our hardware and software engineering teams
  • Implementing and maintaining development processes across multiple disciplines
  • Managing product development from innovation through to manufacture
  • Working closely with the CTO to turn concepts into deliverable products
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners and suppliers

About You

  • Proven experience leading combined hardware and software teams
  • Track record of taking products from concept through to market
  • Strong background in either hardware or embedded software, with a good understanding of both
  • Experience implementing processes in high-growth environments
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership

Required Experience

  • 8+ years in engineering leadership roles with extensive experience with electronic engineering or embedded software development, ideally working on consumer electronic devices.
  • Experience in various companies (including early stage start-ups) and familiar with various development methodologies and processes
  • Experience with full product lifecycle development
  • Track record of successful product launches

There's a salary on offer of up to £120k + equity, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and hybrid working arrangements.
