Applications Support Analyst - Join a Leading Professional Services Firm

I am working with a prestigious client seeking a talented Applications Support Analyst to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing their core business applications. This opportunity is perfect for an IT professional with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality service in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues promptly, adhering to IT processes like version control and change management.
  • Maintain and upgrade applications, implementing fixes, updates, and hotfixes while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Build and maintain Test environments to mirror Production systems, ensuring effective testing and reliable results.
  • Draft and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and application configuration guides.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, promoting best practices and improving application usage.
Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices (certification desirable but not mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server, IIS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude in software support.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, liaising confidently with users, IT teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering excellent client service.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience supporting core legal software packages such as Intapp, Interaction, Aderant.
  • Exposure to programming languages like Visual Basic, ASP .Net, or C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially the Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure AD, SSO, and Office 365.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in incident management, with a strong track record in communication, escalation handling, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, SLA management, and impact analysis.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment, with a solid understanding of industry-standard methodologies.
