Robert Half is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join a London-based Private Investment Firm.This role is offered as an initial 5-month contract with strong potential for extension.
Role:

Perform back end preparation and imaging for laptop and phone upgrades.

Conduct stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy for IT equipment.

Unpack and set up new IT hardware, ensuring proper configuration.

Update firmware on devices to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.

Perform regular AV room checks, ensuring equipment is fully functional.

Assist with desk setups and office moves, ensuring proper IT infrastructure.

Provide basic troubleshooting and support for IT-related issues as needed.

Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system efficiency's
Responsibilities:

Proven experience in a desktop support or IT support role.

Strong knowledge of laptop and phone imaging and upgrades.

Experience with IT asset management and stock checks.

Familiarity with firmware updates and general IT maintenance.

Ability to set up AV equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
