Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Advertising company based in London who are currently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

This is an onsite role where you’ll take responsibility for all day to day running of IT and technical support. The ideal candidate will be motivated and ambitious, ready to meet the clients IT support needs. You should bring energy and strong organisational skills, along with effective communication across all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT helpdesk, addressing tech issues including laptops (Mac), desktops, and meeting room technology.
  • Track and maintain inventory of all company IT equipment, ensuring security and logging.
  • Coordinate with Finance to manage IT asset records and oversee new employee setups, including security access cards.
  • Handle the exit process by collecting equipment and deactivating accounts for departing staff.
  • Perform weekly server backups and maintain disaster recovery plans, including regular testing.
  • Oversee Cyber Essentials Certification renewals and DNS/server management, including repairs, maintenance, and VPN/firewall updates.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective equipment purchases and maintaining a preferred supplier list.
  • Administer software subscriptions and web hosting renewals, collaborating with Finance on renewals and pricing.
  • Provide support for meeting room technology, ensuring smooth setup of AV and video conferencing systems, with daily readiness checks.

Key Skills

  • Proficient in Office 365 (Exchange Online, product suite), SharePoint, and Teams, with strong support skills for Windows 10/11 and Mac OS platforms.
  • Experienced in Active Directory, MS Azure, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) management.
  • Skilled in Windows Server 2012 R2 & 2019, HPE System Management, and ITIL Framework.
  • Knowledgeable in VPN technologies, Mitel phone systems, Cisco Meraki, HP Switches, and Aruba Wi-Fi networks.
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Studio Suite, Symantec Endpoint Protection, ESET Security Management, and system inventory tracking.
