Job Description: Temporary Desktop Support – 1 Week (London)

Position: Desktop Support (Temporary)  Location: London  Duration: 1 WeekWorking Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday  Pay Rate: £180 to £200 per day

About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Technician for a short-term, 2-week assignment based in London. The role involves providing technical support to users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and other IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.).- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.- Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and updates.- Assist in setting up new workstations and user accounts.- Ensure proper documentation of technical issues and resolutions.- Assist with IT inventory management and maintain records of IT equipment.- Provide excellent customer service to internal users and communicate effectively.- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:- Proven experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role.- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi).- Experience in hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers).- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications:- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus.- Experience with remote desktop support tools.
