We are recruiting for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our client, a trusted investment banking advisor to companies around the world. Our client’s comprehensive services include mergers and acquisitions advisory, private funds and capital markets advisory, and valuations and fairness opinions.

Suitable Desktop Support Engineers will work 9am-6pm Monday to Friday in the office covering 1st / 2nd line support to a global user base of over 1000 + users. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment that invests and uses the latest technology. Suitable Desktop Support Engineer will be given the opportunity to develop their PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills while gaining experience with advanced technical challenges of a multi-office international network. Provide day-to-day maintenance and support of all end user systems including Windows based notebook and desktop PCs, telephones, mobile devices (iPhone/iPad/Android/etc), and a variety of other software and business systems.

The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • 1st, 2nd line support for approximately 1.000 employees across multiple offices
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software
  • Configure and deploy new hardware and software
  • Interface with technical support from vendors and suppliers
  • Provide support to IT management
  • Overseas and upkeeps all audio-visual equipment in managed spaces
  • Ensures that AV systems have the latest firmware and software installed, updating as necessary

Essential skills

  • Minimum 2-5 years of work experience
  • Self-motivated, can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and is detail oriented
  • Be technically competent with good all-round knowledge of Windows 11, Office365, Azure / AWS Entra, Azure Admin, Teams Admin, Exchange, SharePoint, Citrix, and printing technology.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Poly, Zoom and current AV technology preferred
  • Knowledge of modern audio-visual concepts and equipment, including excellent troubleshooting ability
  • Should have a degree in MIS or significant related experience
