IT Support | 1st/2nd Line Support | Desktop Support | AV

My client based in central London are looking to recruit a good all round IT support Analyst, you will provide support to all IT and AV issues.

The role:

  • Responsible and accountable for the smooth running of all Information Technology (IT), computer systems and Audio Visual (AV) aids in line with the IT Budget, and is to:
  • Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations, identifying problems and implementing solutions.
  • Assist users with AV/IT issues in a friendly, calm and professional manner.
  • Assist with projects as and when required.

Duties:

  • Provides IT support investigations and diagnosis and promptly allocates and escalates unresolved issues as appropriate.
  • Investigates, diagnoses and solves hardware faults, responding to faults, troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Ensures problems are correctly reported, routed, tracked and solved, keeping the user informed at all times.
  • Creates support documentation and provides high quality guidance and training to a variety of users.
  • Responsible for the equipment care of all AV/IT and maintains an accurate inventory of hard/software at the business.
  • Ensures that computer and network operations are monitored at the property, backup/recovery functions are performed on scheduled basis and administration functions for hardware, operating and application systems are maintained and completed on consistent basis. Safeguards security of data, network access and backup systems .
  • Ensure that all AV equipment is in good working order and is stored tidily and safely. This will include routine maintenance, ensuring conferencing display screens are patched regularly, as well as demonstrating the use of such equipment to staff, delegates and organisers.
  • Respond to requests for support promptly by attending in person to troubleshoot any AV problems and/or by providing support by phone or email and promptly allocate or escalate requests as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have strong 2nd line IT support, ideally face to face dealing with VIP users. You will be a strong all rounder and be the main contact for all IT issues.
