Technical Support Manager

Alecto Recruitment are partnering with a key figure within the Anaerobic Digestion sector who are actively searching for a Technical Support Manager to join their company.

The Role:

  • You will be part of a small team delivering a high-impact, global project. You will be conducting extensive research into best regulatory and policy practices in the biogas industry from across the globe.
  • You will lead the analysis and support the Scientific and policy team in producing high-quality policy, regulatory and market information.
  • You will be interacting with policy makers, operators, think tanks, industry leaders and financiers to develop the evidence base which will inform our policy thinking and helps set the direction of the industry at large.
  • You will also take part to contribute to the global picture by supporting the company and the international programs it is developing, a series of interlinked initiatives aimed at significantly accelerating biogas adoption.

Essential skills/experience required:

  • Ability to work within a partnering or alliancing environment.
  • Ability to facilitate, mediate and resolve project issues
  • Drive to achieve results in a challenging environment, with a passion for excellence and a can-do attitude.
  • Proven experience of managing large workloads of multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research analysis experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to gather and analyse information from various national and international sources, such as reports, studies, and policy documents, and effectively summarizing and presenting findings.
  • Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data and be able to draw meaningful insights and conclusions from the data.
  • Good understanding of the policy process, ideally gained within the renewable energy, waste management, agriculture or sustainability sectors.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with international stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively to deliver quality output to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable commitment to sustainability, renewable energy and/or the green economy
  • Ability to travel within UK and abroad.

Desirable:

  • Project management experience
  • Experience in Agile delivery methodology.
  • Knowledge and experience of AD (management, operational, compliance, planning and certification schemes).
  • Knowledge of, or work experience in the waste, agriculture or energy sectors
