Service Design & Transition Architect

We are seeking a Service Design & Transition Architect to join a leading public service broadcaster's EICTH division. This role involves covering multiple projects across hosting, user services, and app management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the technical architecture of systems and aiding in the transition of services from one provider to another.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and oversee the technical architecture of systems, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate the transition of services and systems between providers in a commercially sensitive environment.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential technical risks, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Implement performance optimisation strategies to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
  • Design and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data and systems against potential threats.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in service/system transition in a commercially sensitive environment.
  • Proficient in network design with a deep knowledge of system architecture patterns and design principles.
  • Strong technical background in technologies such as Kotlin, Objective C, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), Node.js, AWS, Microsoft platforms, and CI/CD.
  • Proven ability to handle business requirements, identify technical challenges, and create detailed technical designs.
  • Experience in architecture governance, setting standards, and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex technical problems.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience with large media/telecom companies, preferably with with media.
