Network and EV commissioning engineer -

Job Title: Network and EV Commissioning Engineer

Location: London

Hourly rate: 20 - 25

Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday- Friday (flexibility needed)

Duration: Temporary ongoing

Responsibilities:

  • Commission and configure network equipment, charger equipment, and electrical metres to set up analysis of infrastructure.
  • Verify and test charging equipment for electric buses, providing necessary electrical guidance to IT Engineers setting up the IT side of the bus depot.
  • Identify and resolve any electrical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of the charging infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective commissioning and troubleshooting processes.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess and maintain the functionality of the charging equipment.
  • Record and document all activities, generating reports as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practises related to network and EV charging equipment commissioning.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in commissioning network equipment and electrician
  • RAMS
  • Strong knowledge of electrical metres and their setup for infrastructure analysis.
  • Ability to provide electrical guidance to IT Engineers.
  • Proficient in fault finding and repairing electrical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot charging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety standards.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
