This business is based near Liverpool Street station in the City of London, and provides a wide range of IT services and solutions to small to medium sized businesses across a range of industry sectors. These businesses aren’t big enough to have their own IT team, so they will be looking for your help.

Most of the customers are based within walking distance (or a short tube ride).

The main areas you’ll be involved with are: network infrastructure; server management; cloud services; cloud, server, and infrastructure projects; systems maintenance and management.

You’ll be working as part of a team to deliver these services.

As you gain more experience, you’ll develop your project management skills and get involved with project implementations.

The working environment is relaxed, but focused. A great emphasis is placed on teamwork.

This is a role where you can really show your initiative, and use your problem solving skills.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Due to the nature of the job you will gain experience in a wide range of IT disciplines that you would not expect to cover if you worked for a large business.

You will get loads of training (so don’t worry if you haven’t done some of the things mentioned above), along with plenty of support. You’ll get a structured development plan, and will work towards gaining industry certifications.

Over the first 2 years your strengths and interests will become clear, and your specific career path can be planned. For example, you may want to work towards being a senior support analyst, a network engineer, or a security engineer. Or perhaps customer management and line management if you like the sound of that.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

In addition to a starting salary of between ÂŁ32,000-37,000, you will get benefits including subsidised gym membership, a season ticket loan, subsidised lunch, and a bonus based on company performance.

Hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday (occasional, paid, after hours or weekend work where needed).

In time, there may also be an option to work from home for part of the time.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

While a Computing related degree is ideal (particularly something with a business focus), other graduates will also be considered if you can show your interest in IT in other ways (for example if you have completed a bootcamp).

You’ll need to be happy speaking with people, as that is a key part of the role.

The role is aimed at a graduate, but if you have a year or two experience in a similar role (but don’t have a degree) then that’s ok.

WHAT TO DO NEXT…

The job is to start immediately, so if you’re interested then please send your cv asap. We will then speak more about the role and business, and how it may match what you are looking for.
