Infrastructure Engineer - Renewable Energy - Remote/ Hybrid Working - London
Robert Half have partnered with a leader in the Renewable Energy & Engineering space. Head Quartered in London employing over 4000 they investing heavily in their Tech.
Due to this growth and investment they're looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis.
As their Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Responsible for design, build and operational support of core infrastructure (network, voice, storage, virtualised environment, servers, and cloud IaaS platforms)
- Ensuring that core infrastructure is secure, available and recoverable
- Patching and planned preventative maintenance
- Capacity management, monitoring and alerting.
- Documentation of infrastructure systems, including run books and support guides.
- Working within the Change Management process.
- Manage and resolve support calls relating to technologies, systems and services aligned to the team you work in while follow all pre-defined incident management processes.
- Conduct deep dive technical analysis to resolve system problems, ensuring procedures and processors are followed for system changes.
- Producing operational roadmaps.
- Agility - ability to adapt style and approach to meet different needs and requirements.
- Analytical - able to analyse data, draw out themes/trends to inform data driven decisions.
- Commercial Awareness - understands the importance of managing costs and expense, applying the necessary controls.
- Communication - able to adapt style and approach to enable a diverse audience to connect with the messages and understand the purpose.
Skills/ Background Required
- At least 5 years managing infrastructure in a complex and geographically dispersed IT environment
- Expert knowledge in :
- Windows Server (virtual & Physical)
- Storage Management (HP Nimble preferred)
- VMware Management
- Active Directory, GPO, Security etc..
- O365
- Backup technology
- Experience in securing infrastructure architectures
- Extensive experience of implementing and running infrastructure operational processes (Monitoring & Support, Maintenance, Security, Backup & Disaster Recovery)
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Azure/ SAAS solutions experience
- Extensive experience as technical lead in infrastructure projects
You'll be expected to come to their City of London Office 1-2 times every 2 weeks (3-4 times a month)
£58,000 - £64,000 + Annual Bonus & Excellent Benefits
