Infrastructure Operations Engineer

This role is office-based, with a hybrid working policy requiring applicants to commute to clients offices 3-4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Maintenance:Ensure accurate alerting configurations and maintain up-to-date local work instructions.Propose and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.Monitor security and operational logs from multiple sources.Reporting & Analytics:Plan, implement, and oversee operational system security requirements.Analyse and report on vulnerability fix levels across platforms.Address vendor security bulletins, highlighting critical vulnerabilities.Prepare and execute test plans and scripts, tailored to customer requirements.Patching:Develop and implement platform patching methodologies, including firmware and end-of-life updates.Faults & Escalations:Act as an escalation point for faults, lead investigations, and propose preventative solutions.Design, approve, and implement solutions for recurring issues.Software Deployment:Review application designs and work instructions.Manage the installation of new services and upgrades.Write and execute changes for low to medium risk levels.About You:Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a relevant subject. 2:1 or aboveExperience in security networks or the security sector (desirable).Proven customer-facing technical experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A collaborative, team-oriented approach across departments.Additional Info:This role supports critical services, and overnight or shift work may be required.
