A leading financial services client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in Low Latency for a 12-month contract role, offering up to £700 per day inside IR35.
The position involves supporting a major data center project and working on electronic trading systems across the UK, APAC, and US.
Candidates must possess a CCIE certification in Routing & Switching and extensive experience with Cisco hardware and software, multicast protocols, and scripting in Ansible and Python.
Additional required skills include expertise in various networking protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and VPN, as well as familiarity with traffic analysis tools and management platforms.
The role allows for 50% hybrid working, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals in the field.

Senior Network Engineer - Low Latency - BGP CCIE - Kolo - Investment Bank

12 months, paying up to £700/day Inside IR35 ** 50% hybrid working

Leading financial services client is looking for a Senior Low Latency Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. You will support an upcoming Data centre project, moving all services/infrastructure. You will support with project work for all electronic trading systems, across UK, APAC & US, as well as Kolo - exchanges.

Skills and experience required:

Cisco, CCIE Routing & Switching

Extensive multicast protocols, PIM, IGMP, MBGP
Cisco hardware; Nexus 3K, Nexus 9K, 6500E, 4900, 4500, 6800 series Switches
ASR series and ISR series Routers
Cisco software IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR
Ansible & Python Scripting
Arista 7000 series TAP aggregation
PTP clock time stamping
Ethernet 1G/10G/40G/100G
Protocols/Technologies: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VRF, NAT, QOS, VPN, vPC, VXLAN,
Traffic analysis tools: Netflow, Solareflare/cStor probes and Wireshark
