Description
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks
- Providing network administration and support
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arranging scheduled upgrades
- Investigating faults in the network and reporting network status to key stakeholders
Profile
Technical Skills:
- Extensive multicast protocols, PIM, IGMP, MBGP
- Cisco hardware; Nexus 3K, Nexus 9K, 6500E, 4900, 4500, 6800 series switches
- ASR series and ISR series routers
- Cisco software IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR
- Ansible & Python scripting
- Arista 7000 series TAP aggregation
- PTP clock time stamping
- Ethernet 1G/10G/40G/100G
- Extensive routing and switching experience
- Protocols/Technologies: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, VRF, NAT, QOS, VPN, vPC, VXLAN,
- Traffic analysis tools: Netflow, Solareflare/cStor probes and Wireshark
- Cisco Wireless LAN technologies
- Identity Services Engine
- Adva FSP3000 and XG carrier ethernet solutions
- Zabbix & Grafana management platforms
- Juniper JUNOS
- Juniper EX series
- ITIL and Change Management experience
