Your new company
I am currently working with a renowned university in London looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to assist with a Cyber Essentials Applications project which they'll be delivering over the next 6 - 9 months.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Essential: Working on large MDM / Endpoint and Application management, deployment & packaging projects
  • Desirable: Working on CyberE related projects
  • Essential: 5+ years experience in Senior technical roles relating to Applications / Software
  • Essential: SME and Technical leadership experience
  • Essential: Excellent collaboration, communication, engagement, proactive, positive, can do attitude
  • Essential: 3+ years experience with Windows OS (W10, W11), MECM (SCCM), InTune
  • Desirable: Good experience with MacOS and Jamf.
  • Desirable: Experience with AppsAnywhere, Virtual apps, Qualys.
  • Essential: Working in an ITIL environment with change & incident management.
  • Essential: Experience and deep understanding of software lifecycle management.
  • Essential: Presenting technical solutions confidently to relevant approval boards.
  • Essential: Creating, reviewing and updating documentation in the shape of HLD's, LLD's, technical standards, process definition.
  • Essential: Experience identifying where best practice and automaton can be implemented to enable improvements with applications.

You can expect to undertake the following tasks as part of the project:

  • Application installations and uninstallations, silent, cmd line, to include user configuration.
  • Application script creation and editing, powershell and batch
  • Application deployment, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, mitigation
  • Application & Driver packaging and deployment
  • Application reporting and monitoring
  • Task sequences, creating, editing, maintaining
  • Application maintenance, best practice and recommendations
  • Creating & presenting technical documentation for approval.
  • Reviewing current processes and recommending and implementing new processes focused on best practice, streamlining and automation.
