Unified Communications Engineer

Up to 80k + package

I am representing a specialist investment banking client of mine who are looking for an experienced UC Engineer to join their team. You will need to specialise in Unified Communications and Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop.

Your role will involve delivering communication services across Cisco, Microsoft, and cloud platforms, focusing on voice and messaging. You will also assist with the migration of their infrastructure to cloud solutions, ensuring project deadlines and budgets are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise voice solutions.
  • Automate and enhance communication systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide support for IP phones, dealer boards, and other communication systems.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server/Desktop environments, VMware Infrastructure, and related systems.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and compliance work.
  • Collaborate with various tech teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational stability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP) and Deployment (PCD), Cisco Expressway C&E, Cisco Jabber/WebEx Teams/Meetings, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)/Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
  • Experience with Microsoft/Windows systems, 365, Azure, Teams & Server Suite
  • Proficiency in automation tools (PowerShell, Puppet, Ansible) and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
  • Strong communication skills and experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • A proactive team player with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
