Hyde is looking to recruit an Applications Manager.

As an Applications Manager at Hyde you will be working within the Technology Team to oversee the smooth operation, maintenance, and development of the housing management systems for the Hyde Group.

You'll be joining us at an exciting time, with several impactful projects underway, including a proposed re-implementation of our Housing Management System (HMS), strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvements, and a solution re-platforming project. In this high-visibility role, you will lead the implementation efforts, driving the design and architecture discussions to shape our HMS solution effectively with close collaborating with business stakeholders and peers. This position also offers significant growth opportunities within the organization and the chance to represent HMS as part of a comprehensive digital transformation initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the housing management systems for the Hyde Group, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and properly integrated.
  • Managing projects , applications and databases, setting protocols and procedures, communicating within and outside of the organization, managing others, identifying risks, managing the application life cycle, and providing ongoing technical support.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the housing applications to minimize downtime and disruptions, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
  • Develop solutions for resolving complex service issues and propose them for review by senior management.
  • Collaborate with other teams in the tech department to deliver tech wide projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Technology team to plan and execute system upgrades and implementations, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of housing-related data by implementing robust security measures and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including staff, management, and external vendors, providing technical support and addressing system-related enquiries.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 10+ years of Application Management experience.
  • Strong line management and people management skills.
  • Stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
  • Supplier performance management skills.
  • Task prioritization, project planning and road mapping, bringing actions to closure.
  • Experience implementing applications or business systems.
  • Experience working with a housing management system - Northgate (NEC) is highly preferred.
  • Service Charge processing experience will be a big plus.
  • Understanding of agile Principles.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Quick learner.
