Role overview:
Article Master Data Senior Consultant, your primary role is to lead the article master data workstream within the SAP environment. You will ensure that all article data (such as product descriptions, categories, and characteristics) is properly managed, structured, and integrated across various SAP modules, particularly in a retail or consumer goods setting. You will work with stakeholders to gather business requirements, facilitate workshops, and ensure that article master data is aligned with business needs and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead workshops during the Explore Phase to capture business requirements for article master data across retail or consumer goods operations.
- Oversee the design, governance, and management of article master data within SAP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all relevant modules.
- Ensure the seamless integration of article master data with other SAP processes such as procurement, inventory management, sales, and finance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define article data standards, including product descriptions, categories, hierarchies, and characteristics, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support data migration efforts by ensuring the accurate transfer of article master data from legacy systems into SAP.
- Lead efforts to optimize article data processes, including data validation, cleansing, and enrichment, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the MDG (Master Data Governance) team to implement strong governance practices, ensuring that article master data is controlled, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Provide expertise in managing large-scale article data sets typical in retail, ensuring that data is structured in a way that supports the organization's operational and analytical needs.
- Identify and mitigate potential data-related risks, such as duplication or misclassification of products, ensuring the integrity of article data.
- Document all workshop outcomes, data requirements, and article data design decisions, ensuring a clear and actionable implementation plan. Ideal Experience
