This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping the organisation's Data landscape and making a real difference to the lives of those it supports.The Role: Associate Head of DataAs part of an ambitious digital transformation strategy, our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Head of Data to lead a team of 12 in managing all fundraising data received from diverse sources. This role sits within the Data and Analytics Hub, which plays a crucial role in enabling the charity to become a data-driven organisation, leveraging insights to prevent child abuse and neglect.Reporting to the Head of Data and AI, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, optimising automation, and ensuring that all supporter data is handled securely and effectively. You will contribute to the execution of the charity's Digital Plan and data strategy, aligning technology operations with broader organisational objectives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Supporter Data Operations Team: Oversee and manage the Supporter Data Operations team within the Data and Analytics Hub, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.

  • Strategic Leadership & Change Management: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to define strategic direction and drive transformation within the Supporter Data Operations team and beyond. Ensure data processes and systems are optimized for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Project Delivery & Data Migration: Work with the Supporter Centricity Technology project team to ensure a successful migration of supporter data to new technology platforms. Oversee data integration and transition while maintaining high service standards and continuity.

  • Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with the Head of Data and Analytics to develop and execute the strategic direction for Supporter Data Operations. Work closely with senior stakeholders in the Income Generation directorate and lead the Data Delivery Manager to effectively prioritize, allocate, and deliver the team's portfolio of work.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor team members while fostering strong external partnerships. Align leadership efforts with the organization's mission, vision, and performance standards. Encourage continuous professional growth and actively support career development.

  • Operational Excellence & Upskilling: Ensure the seamless delivery of data into new operational platforms while driving upskilling initiatives across the team and wider organization to equip staff with the necessary knowledge and expertise for new technologies and processes.

Person Specification:

  • Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading operational data teams, setting strategic direction, and inspiring and motivating team members.

  • Technology Change Management: Experience in effectively leading a team through a technology change program, ensuring staff are upskilled and provided with necessary technical support.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of current and emerging platform technologies, such as Salesforce CRM and data cloud platforms.

  • Data Management Proficiency: In-depth understanding of data management principles, including data governance, quality, and security.

  • Project & Portfolio Management: Proven experience in leading the delivery of large, complex portfolios of work, collaborating with stakeholders to set priorities, drive delivery, and implement strategies to minimize unplanned work.

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Outcome-Oriented Approach: A results-driven individual who thrives on delivering high-impact solutions and achieving strategic objectives.
