Job Title: Technical Manager - Data Centre Solutions

Salary: Up to 80,000 + package

Location: Central London

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Manager to join a leading organisation in the critical facilities sector. This is a key site-based role within their rapidly expanding Data Centre Solutions division, located in the Docklands area. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art critical environment, ensuring optimal performance and 100% uptime of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of all critical systems to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Supervise planned and reactive maintenance activities, prioritising tasks for maximum efficiency.
  • Manage subcontractor inductions, permits, risk assessments and compliance with site procedures.
  • Develop and update site-specific operational procedures (EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, etc.).
  • Provide leadership and development for the engineering team, conducting regular appraisals and training.
  • Act as the designated Critical Facility Manager (CFM) in their absence.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of direct industry experience, or 10+ years at an electrician/technician level with supervisory experience.
  • Expertise in data centre, pharmaceutical production, power plants or hospital environments is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including transformers, UPS systems, chillers, air handling units and fire suppression systems.
  • Familiarity with control equipment such as PLCs and BMS.
  • HV SAP Qualification is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and outside regular hours when required.
