Data Centre Technician (Smart Hands)

Your new role

We are seeking an ambitious individual that is keen to undertake a new career within technology.

The role of Data Centre Technician will see you providing customer support to our large and diverse client base ensuring service levels. You will have a supportive team to train you on the essentials to get you up to speed!

Some your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of server, network and storage hardware with associated cabling/patching
  • Perform cabling/patching duties of both copper and fibre for a variety of different client requirements
  • Decommission hardware and prepare for shipping whilst coordinating with third party couriers
  • Perform audit work for clients cabling and hardware and produce supporting documentation

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Must meet SC and BPSS security clearance vetting and approval requirements
  • Desire to work with your hands, with proven experience from DIY projects to actual work experience
  • The ambition to work within a hands on fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and being able to make informed decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK Driving License and personal car is essential for this position
  • Willingness to learn with friendly, professional, and flexible attitude
