Data Manager, Museum, Central London, 8 week temp booking, c.£37,000 pro-rata, hybrid

Organised Data Manager needed for high profile Museum. This is a temp role for up to 8 weeks during a period of recruitment. You will have a particular emphasis on managing direct debits and regular Membership payments and be a confident user of Raiser’s Edge. This is a hybrid working role and would suit you if you have experience working within UK GDPR, Payment Card Industry regulations and The Fundraising Promise.

Reporting to the Database Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Take primary responsibility for implementing improvements and maintaining accuracy in gift management focussing on Direct Debit processing for Membership
  • Administration of data flow, accuracy, and development of data in support of the donor journey
  • Manage the accurate collection of Direct Debit payments
  • Play an active role in supporting the Database team in the management of the larger collections, including working alongside the Database Manager, the Senior Gifts and Planning Manager, and Membership Services team to a Service Level Agreement with the Direct Debit provider
  • Act as first point of contact for the Direct Debit service provider for the service level agreement, troubleshooting problems according to agreed standards, escalating issues where necessary
  • Take direct oversight for the Membership renewal data, working with the Head of Membership and Membership Services Managers to produce monthly and bespoke data for Direct Debit and cash mailings
  • Administer the process of Direct Debit and cash reconciliation by importing, cleaning and segmenting data with the support of the Database Assistant, with a particular focus on Membership
  • Work with the Membership Services Manager to resolve problems arising from membership data, claims and transactions
  • Work with the Database Manager, developing database projects, supporting in analysing the accuracy of the data
  • Work with the Database Manager and the Senior Gifts and Planning Manager, to devise systems to scan and store Gift Aid declarations in accordance with best industry practice, assisting with audits
  • Provide the Head of CRM, Head of Planning and Operations and Finance with a regular set of financial reporting and analysis, ensuring that data entry and imports are carried out efficiently
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy when managing the Raiser’s Edge database
  • Administer and manage data input and processing within the database
  • Ensure accuracy of information on the database and that all data is held in accordance with UK GDPR, Payment Card Industry regulations and The Fundraising Promise

You will have:

  • Experience of using CRM Databases
  • Raiser’s Edge knowledge is desirable as is an understanding of UK GDPR and payment processing regulations
  • MS office knowledge and accuracy in data entry
  • Experience of working in a fundraising office environment
  • A logical, methodical and proactive approach with the ability to communicate with a range of people
  • Data handling and the development and administration of effective processes
  • Experience of working with financial data
  • If you have worked within Membership in a customer focused role and understand direct debits and BACS that would be an advantage
