Incident Management & IT Risk Consultant Jira Focus

Robert Half is supporting their client, a leading Global Consulting Firm, in their search for an Incident Management & IT Risk Consultant with expertise in IT Risk Frameworks, IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR), Major Incident Management, and hands-on Jira use for tracking and managing incidents. This role supports a global consulting firm and their end client, a leading global investment banking firm, in aligning their resilience and risk processes with regulatory frameworks, including DORA.

Assignment Details:

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office, with remote flexibility)

Duration: Initial 3 months (strong likelihood of extension for implementation phase)

Day Rate: £600 p/day via PAYE (employer's NI & tax deducted at source - no umbrella company fees) plus accrued holiday pay at 12.07%

Start Date: ASAP, subject to standard financial & criminal background checks

Key Responsibilities:

Jira - Incident Tracking & Management

• Use Jira for managing incidents, documenting root causes, and assigning remediation actions
• Build or configure Jira dashboards and workflows for real-time visibility and audit readiness
• Work with internal teams to standardise use of Jira for incident lifecycle management

IT Risk Management & Governance

• Develop and implement an IT risk management framework aligned with regulatory expectations
• Provide input on IT risk policies and governance (risk register, RACI, oversight)
• Define reporting structures and monitoring strategies to improve risk visibility

IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) & Major Incident Management (MIM)

• Support IT DR improvement initiatives and DR plan development. Integrate DR testing, asset mapping, and training into wider resilience efforts & Align DR processes with business continuity and incident response frameworks
• Define and enhance incident management processes, protocols, and playbooks & Provide walkthroughs, training, and set up escalation paths for technology teams
• Support foundational problem management and post-incident reviews & Align MIM processes with DORA and other relevant regulatory frameworks

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in IT risk, DR, and incident management, ideally within financial services or investment banking
• Strong understanding of DORA, operational risk frameworks, and IT governance
• Hands-on experience using Jira for incident management, tracking, and reporting
• Background in ITIL and experience delivering improvements to MIM processes
• Confident working with stakeholders such as Heads of Operational Resilience, Risk, and IT
