Operatinoal Senior Risk Manager - Data Management

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 Location: London/Milton Keyenes - 3 days a week in their office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight, advisory, and guidance on risks associated with new technologies.
  • Assist in the bank's digital and technological transformation by offering technical risk management support.
  • Build and sustain effective, collaborative relationships with all first line of defense (1LoD) teams and key stakeholders across the Group.
  • Oversee Data Management, IT, and Cyber risk within Santander UK.
  • Support the Head of Cyber and New Technologies Operational Risk in creating a comprehensive view of technology risks across Santander UK and in refining the risk management framework and tools for improved risk identification and reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in industry trends and technical areas relevant to these focus areas.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Methods and tools for risk identification: questionnaires, workshops, and interviews
  • Risk assessment on an inherent/residual basis, considering impact types and likelihood
  • Risk response options
  • Vast knowledge of Data Management frameworks
  • Control frameworks and documentation, including objectives, types, accountability, resources, processes, and supporting evidence
  • Risk reporting: data analysis and key messages
  • Incident and loss management: root cause analysis and preventive measures
  • Understanding of the business environment
  • Risk analysis: aggregation, concentration, and root cause identification
  • Recognition of interconnected events
  • Scenario planning and development
  • Graduate-level qualification
