Job Role

To provide management and leadership to a section that delivers a high quality, specialised service covering all Spatial Data including statutory responsibilities and meets all relevant standards. Lead and manage all activities in the section including the effective processing and discharge of all spatial data requirements including local land charges (LC), street naming & numbering (SN&N) and a GIS support service ensuring that all processes are consistently and robustly tested, audited, in line with all relevant international and national spatial information regulations, and that staff are held in compliance with the data needs of all operated process and data management systems

Lead and manage a team of officers, acting as the council's expert, t1.o provide high quality, specialist expertise relating to complex and detailed Spatial Data technical and administrative issues.

To be responsible for the teams work in creating and maintaining the Corporate Address and Street Gazetteers to BS7666 and any other relevant national and international spatial and geographic referencing standards through the performance of the roles of Data Governance Manager, Street Data Custodian, Building Address Data Custodian, Street Data Steward and Building Address Data Steward as the situation may require.

To manage the Division's spatial data repositories and act as Spatial Data Custodian on behalf of respective Divisional Data Owners.

To ensure that complaints, Member/Mayoral Enquiries, FOI requests and other service related information requested about the service are handled in a timely and professional manner using best practice customer service.

Ensure the team utilise all available relevant ICT systems, databases, applications and any successor systems to deliver an up-to-date, monitored, efficient, effective and

integrated service.
