Overview:
Partnering with a global IT Services organisation, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Migration Manager to join a dynamic team focused on a significant Data Centre Migration (DCM) and network project.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee the migration of critical infrastructure, including virtualisation, storage, server, and network components, as part of a transformation effort with major stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the migration of virtualisation, storage, server, and network infrastructure as part of the Data Centre Migration (DCM) project.
- Work closely with the Programme Director, network architects, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to drive progress.
- Deliver transition and transformation activities, ensuring a smooth migration process while maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
- Act as a key point of contact for all technical migration-related queries, providing clear direction and advice where needed.
- Ensure attention to detail at every stage of the migration process, from planning through execution.
- Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and ensuring all parties are aligned.
- Ensure all technical migration tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and to the agreed standards.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in virtualisation, storage, server, and network migration.
- Extensive transition and transformation experience, ideally within a technical or data centre migration context.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and manage relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong personality with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers in a collaborative manner.
- A people person with excellent communication skills, a natural ability to influence and manage relationships.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and maintain a keen attention to detail.
