Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Trade Data Repository PM/BA to join the existing team on a brand-new project.

This role is based in London.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 day a week on site.

What You'll Do

  • We're looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our team, supporting a high-profile investment banking client within the trade data repository environment.
  • This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in both strategic project management and in-depth data analysis, blending both skill sets to drive impactful business outcome

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, define timelines, set milestones, and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the client, technical teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout each phase of the project.
  • Trade Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform in-depth analysis of trade data across multiple asset classes, helping to identify and resolve data quality issues and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with business and IT teams to capture and document functional and technical requirements, translating complex regulatory and business needs into actionable tasks.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, troubleshoot data issues, and proactively implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, optimisation, and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Work closely with compliance teams to ensure all data management practices adhere to regulatory guidelines and audit standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Data or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or business analysis, preferably within the investment banking or financial services sector.
  • Experience working in a trade data repository environment and knowledge of asset classes, trade workflows, and regulatory reporting (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR).
  • Experience of working with MoSCoW
  • Proficient with project management software (e.g., Jira, MS Project) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • PMP, CBAP, or similar certifications preferred.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
