IT Project Manager – 12 month FTC - £80,000 – South West London

A well-established retail (FMCG) organisation are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to lead the procurement and implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) and to oversee the migration of their ERP system (NAV) to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful transition and integration of systems to enhance operational efficiency and support our growth objectives.

Please note – this will be a 12 month FTC but is likely to extend.  The ideal candidate will have worked across IT projects within a stock management or retail environment.

Key responsibilities of this IT Project Manager role will include;

Lead the procurement process for selecting a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Help us evaluate the current WMS within NAV and assess the potential upgrade to the "Food & Beverage" product offered by our current NAV partner versus third-party WMS solutions.

Own the ITT (Invitation to Tender) process and ensure the project team assess all third-party products with thorough due diligence.

Support the project team to identify key system requirements and that third party products are objectively scored against these requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope and objectives.

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration and migration of the ERP system to the cloud.

Oversee the implementation of the selected WMS and ensure its successful integration with NAV/Business Central.

Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management.

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure timely delivery.

Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.

Provide training and support to end-users to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new systems.

Maintain thorough documentation of project plans, processes, and outcomes.

To be suitable – you will possess some of the following relevant experience:

Experience in the retail or FMG sector

Prince 2 qualification

Familiarity with the capabilities of NAV and/or Business Central.

Understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics operations

Proven experience in IT project management, specifically with ERP and WMS implementation and migration projects.

Strong understanding of ERP systems, and experience with cloud-based ERP solutions.

Demonstrated experience in conducting procurement processes and vendor management.

Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

The salary on offer for this Project Manager role is £80,000 plus benefits.
