Permanent position

You will be responsible for the management, oversight and delivery of your own portfolio of Projects within the Group IT Infrastructure portfolio. A career motivated Project Manager seeking a long-term move.

This role requires a hands-on Project Manager who can get into the detail and deliver end-to-end from initial to closure ensuring projects are scoped, planned, resourced and governed/reported appropriately.

Experience in managing IT Infrastructure projects end-to-end in one or multiple areas such as Cloud, Networks, Security and End User Computing. We are looking for someone who has had exposure to global rollouts and management of third party vendors to deliver an outcome.

While the role will be based in London, you'll need strong stakeholder management working globally across all of Group IT including our outsourced IT Infrastructure partner to coordinate efforts.

The Project Manager will be required to deliver multiple projects at any given time largely focusing on an exciting portfolio of IT Infrastructure projects, initially focusing on Network type projects, with opportunity to cover other IT projects as demand arises.

Key aspects

  • Be accountable for the definition (including documenting requirements), planning, delivery and governance of the IT Projects assigned.
  • Be able to cope and bring structure to ambiguous situations and problems. Be able to adopt an agile and flexible approach to work.
  • Be able to work independently and have the gravitas and acumen to work with IT Leads and third parties to challenge where appropriate.
  • To own and manage the portfolio of IT Infrastructure Projects concurrently across Group IT.
  • To engage with stakeholders to agree requirements, remediation actions and build plans.
  • To follow and navigate the robust project control gates which link with Architecture, Security and Compliance, SDLC and Acceptance into Service processes.
  • Identify and fulfil resource requirements for projects within agreed budget and ensure that they are fully utilized and be resourceful when faced with limited resources.

Requirements for applicants

  • 5+ years of end-to-end hands-on end-to-end Project Management experience in IT Infrastructure Projects.
  • Proven experience of successfully shaping and executing Programmes of work.
  • Exposure to, and understanding of IT Infrastructure and Business Applications areas.
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with global Senior Management.
  • Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural, diverse environments.
  • Industry recognised technical certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Agile or Scrum Master training.
  • Experience of owning and delivering projects over £150k in value.
  • The ability to create robust project schedules with a traceable critical path.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to adjust to changing demands and priorities.
  • Experience of multiple Project Management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and Scrum.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality management.
