SC Cleared Project Manager, 90% Remote, 6 Month Contract - Must have experience with obsolescence!
I am looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of managing the obsolescence project, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that work packages are delivered according to the established roadmap.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Work under the guidance of the Programme Manager to deliver assigned work packages.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan with key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Ensure that obsolescence remediation activities (upgrades, migrations, decommissioning) are executed on time and within scope.
- Track progress, report status updates, and escalate issues as needed.
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams (IT, Security, Business Units) to ensure smooth execution of remediation plans.
- Work with external vendors to facilitate support agreements, licensing changes, and hardware/software replacements.
- Ensure alignment with business continuity and compliance requirements.
- Identify operational risks related to obsolescence and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that remediation activities are executed without disrupting critical business operations.
- Maintain a risk log and work with the Programme Manager to escalate and address major risks.
To be successful for the role you will have the following skills & experience:
- Experience managing IT infrastructure lifecycle or obsolescence projects.
- Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Solid understanding of risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work within an established programme framework, ensuring adherence to governance structures.
