Our client strives to provide the best quality care for all its services, which include secure facilities, and treatment for addiction and mental health difficulties. Together we are searching for an accomplished UK Head of Digital Projects to lead in a variety of essential projects across the group.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join the organisation as UK Head of Digital Projects. An action oriented, delivery focused leader, with a track record in successfully leading digital projects is required for this position. As a PRINCE 2 Certified Practitioner, you will be fully immersed in the digital health sector and utilise your knowledge to make informed decisions across your work. You will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of a variety of digital projects across all functions in the organisation. Effectively managing the budget, risk, and resources of the projects, as well as establishing priorities throughout the projects or programs lifetime. Performing continuous evaluation of the digital initiatives to ensure they are aligning to the overall strategic goal. You will also harness extensive experience in applying agile techniques and methodologies. Previous experience in the health and social care industry is imperative for the role, and your deeply rooted knowledge will allow you to hit the ground running. There is also a need for cross functional capabilities, as you will be collaborating closely with the Group Digital Health Lead, CEO, and the wider Senior Leadership Team to ensure efficient fulfilment of project requirements. It is envisaged that this is a full-time permanent role.

Location

This is a remote position, with nationwide travel to services across the UK. Candidate’s from across the UK will be considered for the role. There will also be an expectation to travel to Germany sporadically.

Essential Criteria

  • PRINCE 2 Certification (or APM/PMI) is essential.
  • Proven track record in the successful leadership of large-scale digital projects, in a variety of departments.
  • Extensive background in health and social care (mental health or adult social care would be beneficial).
  • Clear and provable experience applying agile techniques and methodologies.
  • Direct line management experience.
  • AgilePM Certification would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Comfortable with regular travel across the UK, and sporadic travel to Germany.

The Candidate

  • Necessary gravitas and past experience reporting to board, as you will be working closely with CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Fluent in German would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Comfortable with remote working style and presence on site.
  • Promotes the living of company-wide values and behaviours.

Interview Process

Prior to submission, you will undergo an extensive screening call with consultant Isobel, so discuss the role and your relevant work.

This is a 2-stage interview process.

1st stage is discussion with Director of Strategy, Head of Projects, and Group Digital Health Lead.

2nd stage a general discussion with Group CEO and CEO.
