IT Support Manager
Location - London (Monument) with hybrid working so, 2-3 days in the office.
Package - Salary to 50,000 with 26 days plus bank, travel loans, employee assistance programme.
This is a new role working for a company operating in the commercial workspace sector. They've got a wide footprint of offices across the UK with over 26 buildings and 9,000 + desks.
Position will blend being the SME and go-to person inside the business for all things IT so it's going to be an all round role which would blend "Some" hands on support but more the management of the outsourced 3rd party MSP's / technology providers who tend to deal with all of the connectivity for the estate of buildings across the UK.
It's a Microsoft 365 environment and the support aspect would likely involve training super-users on 1st line issues regionally and then working with the partners to identify recurring problems and then implement proactive solutions.
We'd suggest it is a classic "department of one" IT management role which calls for a certain kind of attitude and personality and without going into clich, someone who can roll up the sleeves when needed by way of some hands on support but more importantly, guide & set expectation of the partner companies and to give an idea on the variation, this is what would likely fall under your remit:
- Escalation for technology issues across the estate.
- Lead SharePoint and MS Teams management - key point, to include creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites and the MS Teams structure alongside training and support of staff across the UK.
- IT Supplier / Contract Management
- Technology sales support for clients across the workspace footprint - this relates to tenants wanting customised technology solutions.
- Microsoft stack and infrastructure oversight, compliance and performance.
- Backup, restoration and cyber security - this is outsourced, but you would own and review the relationships.
- Delivery of IT projects - Again, more managing the outsourced technology providers who will be doing the heavy lifting, but you would be driving and owning timescales and execution.
Location is Monument, and you would be in the office 2-3 days each week. Some national travel would be required initially but role is London centric.
